I am starting my 7th week which means it's time for me to mix up my weekly weight routine. I did this workout this morning and it only took about 40 minutes. I will be doing this workout the next 3 weeks and then mix it up again. I did it 3 times through because that seems to work best for me. It may look pretty simple but with the right weights and enough reps your legs will feel you are dragging cement bricks around when you are done.
I really like superset workouts lately. Before baby I had never heard of supersetting but I am a HUGE fan now. Supersetting it when you do two exercises back to back with no rest in between. Doing supersets also make your workout THAT much quicker because you aren't resting in between which means you do the same amount of work for less time! When you superset you really push your muscles that much harder which increases the muscle fibers to activate and leads to quicker growth. What is not to love about all those great things that come from a superset?!
I do all my workouts from home. I have sets of dumbbells ranging from 5lbs to 25lbs, resistance bands, medicine ball and a pull up bar. Working out from home forces you to be creative to still "feel the burn" and target those specific muscles but it is totally possible! Plus it's my only option right now so I make it work.
