Our First Family Vacation-TUCSON

We were finally able to take a family vacation, just the three of us. We couldn't afford to go far and since we only had a 3 day weekend we decided to go to Tucson. We love Tucson and always have since we took our first trip there for Jason's 29th birthday. That feels like it was soo long ago since I am 29 this year and he is 35. We got a killer deal at the J.W. Marriott and loved it. They had a lazy river, a lap pool, regular pool and a splash pad. The only downside to this resort was that it is so far from restaurants anything you want to do in Tucson. It's great if you plan to just stay there and eat at the hotel but we don't really like to spend all our money on overpriced food.

We started our weekend with a trip to Jason's favorite cactus farm, the B&B Cactus Farm. It actually is really pretty to see all the varieties of cactus so I didn't mind going. It was nice and overcast as well so that made it more enjoyable to walk around. We spent the next two days at the hotel pools and venturing around town. We finished our trip by going to the Tucson Zoo which was great! The zoo has trees everywhere which was one of the perks when you are at a zoo in 95 degree weather! We all had a great time and can not wait to go back!

Is Daddy going to buy them all?! We will need a bigger car if so.

View from our room.

Eating blackberries in bed while doing a puzzle.

Notice her new trick...sticking her finger in her nose because she thinks it is funny.

I got lots of hugs on the lazy river. It was great. She sat in one spot and we just floated.

Fun at the splash pad. Her favorite place to play!

Swimming with Daddy. She loved pool time with him.

Looking at the peacock and giraffe

Looking to see if she can fit under the rails to get to the giraffe.

The Tucson Zoo splash park. She loved the cow and getting to ride on it.

Looking at animals with Daddy.

The first animal she saw at the zoo was an anteater.  Then as we were leaving the zoo we went into the gift shop to get her a toy. We took her to the wall of animals and she pointed at this anteater. She snuggled it all the way home and gave it kisses on its nose. This guy still sleeps with her in the crib now too!

Bye Tucson lazy river, pools, nice hotel, fruit infused water, and fun!!
