Watching Duck Dynasty with GiGi.
They are making the same face. Not prompted or on purpose. Related..yes!
We took a trip to the Ft. Worth zoo with her Aunt and cousins and her oldest cousin was so helpful and wanted to push her stroller and show her all the animals. He loved to show her off and tell everyone how she looks more like his sister than his own sister does! Well the pale white thing runs in the family so they do look alike! This zoo held special memories because it was the first zoo/place we took Jason's nephew together when we were dating five years ago. He was only 2 years old at the time and now he is 7!!
The only photo I got of the three cousins. Hard to get them to sit close, sit still, and look in one direction!
Classic Mama daughter photo. She will pose with anyone Mama. I guess I need to take photos with her first thing before she is tired or wiggly.
Finally he got a bird to eat!
Group photo and of course Little Spoon is admiring her cuz!
I'm tall, you are small...let's dance.
The girls were EXHAUSTED and everyone was hot.
Aunt and cousin time!
And what would the zoo be without a photo of Daddy holding her hand.
Feeding the birds with Daddy. She LOVED this and was so patient.
Besides a zoo trip we had a big family gathering for dinner one night (a tradition that I LOVE) and although Little Spoon was sick in bed, the hubs and I traded off visiting with family and laying down with her. The Witherspoon dinners are always a blast and filled with laughter, stories, and lots of catching up. I always look forward to these get togethers and I am happy to know Little Spoon will grow up surrounded by so many folks that love her.
We FINALLY took a dip in the backyard pool. I say finally because in the five years we have been together and visited Texas we have never got in the pool. We always pack a suit but time slips away with doing this and that and before we know it our trip has ended. Well Little Spoon's fever broke for a bit and the water was warm and she was playing so we decided to take a quick dip before we had to pack and catch our plane. It was really nice to get to spend time with our nephew and play with him. He is such a fun, handsome kid and I know we just don't get to spend enough time with him most visits. Little Spoon adores him so much and has ever since she met him. Their bond has always been really sweet.
This was also the first visit that Little Spoon and her cousin (only 4 months older) really enjoyed playing together. They played with these chairs A LOT. Little Spoon loves tiny chairs soo much and when she spots a kids chair she is super excited to go try it out. They really liked the kid kitchen their GiGi had for them. Little Spoon's cousin would put the toy baby dolls in the microwave and Little Spoon would sit in the small chair watching. Hmm..is this a sign of who will be giving the orders and who will be carrying out the pranks and such?!
