Citrus Lane Box Review

I got my first box of goodies from Citrus Lane and this is my opinion of it all. I am not one to jump on a monthly subscription besides a magazine here and there but I saw a picture on pinterest and a few clicks later I was looking at the Citrus Lane website. They send you one box a month with five items tailored to your child's age and gender. Although you can choose neutral for the gender as well. From what I read they sometimes throw in something for the mom as well. I liked the idea of this because.. I LOVE getting mail, I really LOVE new things for the kiddo, and I really really LOVE finding new these things for the kid that I can't find at any of our local stores.

The normal monthly subscription is $25. Yikes! $25 had me a bit nervous to try something that I wasn't sure what to expect. Fortunately, I found a link that got me this first box for $15. So I thought, for $15 I could definitely try this whole thing out!! If you want to try it out, you can use this link which will get you the first box for $10 off as well! The way I see it, with Christmas around the corner if there is anything in a box that we wouldn't use then I can put it aside for a gift. There are always plenty of kids birthday, baby showers, etc around here!

Overall I feel pleased with this box. It had a playtime, bathtime, bedtime theme for a 16 month old girl. I liked everything but the digital magazine subscription because I am not sure we would actually use that much, if at all.

Items:
Triangle Castanet from Green Tones

Water Bugs from Boon

Playful Wash from Episencial

BABYBUG from Cricket Magazine

3-Month digital subscription from cricketmag.com

I really am excited to try the bath toys and see what Little Spoon thinks of them because we are always in need of new bath toys around here. Also, just last night I was thinking about looking online for some new soap/bodywash for Little Spoon. I love the brand we use but I do like a change now and then and I was ready to venture out for something new. This was great timing because I can try this out and see what we think! It has a pretty simple smell so that is nice. The wooden triangle castanet is pretty awesome because Little Spoon is totally into making music/noise right now so this was a win! At first glance, the book seemed blah and looked like a long story which is not something a toddler would sit through. But, after reading it, it is actually pretty cute and is comprised of several short songs and rhymes that seem catchy and will be fun to read and sing to her. I plan to keep this subscription for a few months and then see how it goes!

  1. I've seen a lot of moms subscribe to this box lately! It's a fun concept. I might check it out once we get settled. I'll have to remember to get $10!
